Two Legends, Two Roads Taken
Built as a pair, the MINI JCW x Deus show cars have the same spirit but reflect different energy, literally and figuratively. The Skeg is based on MINI JCW Electric and inspired by the coast, while Machina is a restored combustion JCW and forged by the track. Both are undeniably athletic, born from that John Cooper Works sporting DNA. Deus Ex Machina has taken that race-inspired edge and reimagined it through their own creative lens. Stampinf their style with a large white X on the roofs of both cars.
The Skeg
Instant oomph. Just like surfing, that's what a MINI JCW Electric gives you. Drawing on waves of freedom, Deux Ex Machina has outdone itself in the creation of it and has created nothing short of a masterpiece.
In its bold yellow and silver finish, The Skeg makes a strong first impression. Elements like the fiberglass panes and Flex Tip Surf Spoiler nudge the performance up, refining aerodynamics and responding to airflow the same way a surfer would the contours of a wave. Tension straps are a nod to that anticipation you get when finally tying your board to your car. A vibe that’s only enhanced when you get inside. Because it really is like a mobile surf shop inside.
The Machina
This is a champion. Loud, lean and packed with power and energy, Deus Ex Machina have taken the MINI JCW and put their own stamp on this icon. From the beginning, the bold red, white and black paintwork makes it eye-catching to everyone. Then there are the overhauls. details such as the bespoke grille and spoiler boost performance. Style-wise, they’re celebrating racing eras that pushed design and engineering into groundbreaking territory.
