Need Roadside Assistance?

If you have already purchased a BMW Roadside Assistance policy and require assistance because you have broken down, call us on one of the below numbers.

Within the Republic of Ireland phone: 1800 409 900

If you are in the UK or Continental Europe, phone: 00 353 1637 3608

BMW Roadside Assistance

Roadside Assistance & Recovery

Wherever possible, we will endeavour to arrange assistance by a dedicated BMW Customer Service Vehicle. If the problem cannot be resolved and the vehicle is immobilised, then we will arrange for recovery to the nearest authorised BMW Retailer (or to an authorised BMW Retailer nearest to your home address).

If your vehicle cannot be repaired within four hours, we can provide a replacement vehicle or arrange onward mobility for up to two working days. Alternatively, we will arrange hotel accommodation if this is the most convenient solution.

Once the vehicle is repaired, we will arrange for it to be redelivered back to you.

If emergency assistance is required within Continental Europe, we will repatriate you and your vehicle if the vehicle cannot be repaired before the end of your planned return date.

Onward Travel

Onward travel is included as part of your BMW Roadside Assistance policy. This means that if repairs to your vehicle cannot be completed within four hours we will, wherever possible, pay for you and your passengers to continue your journey or return home.

Alternatively, if the breakdown occurs more than 80 kilometres from your home address, and an overnight stay is a more practical option, we will pay for bed and breakfast accommodation. You are entitled to up to €135 per person within the Republic of Ireland and UK.

If you are travelling in Europe and your car repairs require you to stay overnight, we will pay the costs of hotel accommodation for up to four days.

Vehicel Storage

Should your vehicle need to be stored following recovery, we will pay for the cost of storage up to a maximum of €70 in the Republic of Ireland and UK or €135 in Europe.

Replacement Car Hire

If the repairing Retailer cannot fix your vehicle within four hours we will, whenever possible, organise and pay for a replacement for up to two days (or two weeks in Europe, then three days upon your return to the Republic of Ireland).

The rental provider will need to see your valid driving licence and you will be asked for a deposit to cover petrol charges and any additional days hire.

Vehicle Redelivery

If your vehicle has been recovered by BMW Roadside Assistance to a BMW Retailer that isn’t your local BMW Retailer, we will arrange for it to be returned to your home address in the Republic of Ireland.

Alternatively, if you wish to collect your vehicle personally, we will pay for the appropriate costs to enable you to do so.

If your vehicle is repatriated from Europe, we will organise and pay for it to be returned to the BMW Retailer nearest to your home address in the Republic of Ireland. If you then wish to collect your vehicle personally, we will arrange and pay the costs for you.

Glass Breakage

In the event of a glass breakage in the Republic of Ireland or UK, we can contact a BMW Retailer or BMW glass supplier on your behalf to arrange for a replacement to be fitted.

Alternatively, if a repair cannot be dealt with at your location, our BMW recovery specialists can arrange to have your vehicle stored securely until the necessary parts are available for repair.

Please note that other BMW Roadside Assistance benefits do not apply to glass breakage, and that you will be liable for the cost of the repair or replacement.

Is there anything else Ineed to know?

When you purchase a BMW Roadside Assistance policy, terms and conditions apply. To help you discover whether the policy is right for you, we’ve listed some of these below.

Terms & Conditions | The Republic of Ireland & the UK

Adverse weather: If you experience a breakdown during adverse weather conditions, recovery operations may be put on hold until these conditions improve. In these circumstances, our priority is to ensure that you and your passengers are taken to a place of safety.
Lock out/lost keys: If you’re locked out of your vehicle or if you’ve lost your keys, it can be difficult to gain entry to your vehicle. If forced entry is required, you will be asked to sign a declaration stating that you have given permission for this to take place, and that any costs for resultant damage will be your sole responsibility.
Release fees: If your vehicle has been stolen and subsequently recovered by the police, you may be asked to pay a release fee before the vehicle can be taken to an authorised BMW Retailer or BMW Service Workshop, or to your home address. Although we can arrange the delivery of your vehicle, the payment of such fees is your responsibility.
Specialist charges: If specialist equipment is required for the recovery of your vehicle, we will arrange recovery, but you will be responsible for the costs. Please note that you may be able to refund these costs under the terms of your motor insurance policy.
Incorrect fuel: If your car is immobilised as a result of refuelling with incorrect fuel, you will be required to pay for the cost of recovering your vehicle to the nearest authorised BMW Retailer or BMW Service Workshop.

Terms & Conditions | Continental Europe

When your area of cover extends to Continental Europe, the following terms and conditions also apply:

This service is only available for trips that do not exceed 91 days in duration.
If the vehicle has to be repatriated from Continental Europe, you are responsible for ensuring that any items of value are removed.
