The R 18 Transcontinental has been excellently prepared for anything you throw at it. It has been designed so that you can customise it just like you want it. The ample range of Original BMW Motorrad Accessories additionally supports this customising concept. The “Machined” and “2-Tone-Black” collections, designed in collaboration with Roland Sands Design, the classic “Option 719”, for instance with AERO Design package, particularly emphasise the bike’s luxurious appearance even more. The R 18 Transcontinental can additionally be customised and upgraded with sophisticated and convenient touring equipment, such as case liners.

Comfort & Safety
You can comfortably eat up the miles on the R 18 Transcontinental: Dynamic Cruise Control (DCC) and optional Active Cruise Control independently control the speed and the distance to the vehicle ahead. Furthermore three riding modes, Automatic Stability Control (ASC) and dynamic engine brake control (MSR) guarantee more safety as standard. Reverser, Hill Start Control and central locking system for cases and topcase optionally guarantee even more convenience per kilometre covered.

Cockpit
Four traditional, analogue round instruments combine with one modern 10.25” TFT display: from the fuel level indicator to the navigation system and your playlist, it always provides you with all the information at a glance.
The black tank with double striping is one of the icons of BMW Motorrad history.
Passenger seat
The particularly comfortable seat’s passenger seat features seat heating as standard and offers outstanding stability. The backrest has been seamlessly integrated into the adjacent topcase.
TFT display
Plenty of space for plenty of information. From map navigation to vehicle data and your playlist: easily keep an eye on everything thanks to the 10.25” TFT display.

The R 18 Transcontinental is also available in an A2-compliant variant with 35 kW (48 PS). This variant can be throttled, meaning your machine supports you when you hold your A2 driver’s license. You can enjoy the intuitive handling of the R 18 Transcontinental from the very beginning.
