HOW IT WORKS
PHEV combines our lightweight Ingenium engine and 85kW electric motor, together with a large 13 Wh capacity battery which is charged via an external source. In EV mode this delivers up to 51 km from a full charge with zero CO2 tailpipe emissions.
Regenerative braking uses the electric motor to harvest kinetic energy whilst braking, converting it into electrical energy that is used to recharge the high voltage battery. This process begins the second you remove your foot from the accelerator, as well as during braking. Regenerative Braking does not replace charging your vehicle but will supplement the charge available during your journey.
ABOUT ELECTRIC VEHICLES
MHEV is a mild hybrid system that harvests and stores energy normally lost during vehicle deceleration and intelligently redeploys it to assist the engine. It incorporates an enhanced stop start system that enables the engine to shutdown while the vehicle decelerates to a stop. These features improve vehicle fuel economy.

With no conventional engine, a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) is powered solely by an electric motor with a battery and recharged using a plug-in charge point, delivering permanent pure electric vehicle driving. Charged from an external power supply and using regenerative braking, a BEV achieves zero tailpipe emissions.
The home charging cable enables you to charge the vehicle overnight using a domestic power socket. Where more flexible or faster EV charging solutions are required, optional charging solutions including an A/C wallbox can be specified.**
Our PHEV range can fully charge from either a domestic socket or an IEC connector. It is ideally suited to charge overnight, fully recharging in a little as 7.5 hours, enabling emissions free commutings for up to 51km. Installing and using a wall box can reduce charging times closer to 2.75 hours*.

Our approved wall box suppliers and installers will ensure any work is carried out to be the highest standards. The robust wall box can be fitted at a suitable location convenient to you.
EV CHARGING EQUIPMENT
All Land Rover PHEV vehicles come with a Home Charging Cable (Mode 2 Charging Cable). The cable connects to domestic sockets and supports a charging time of as little as 7.4 hours. The cable can be used no matter what the weather. Please check with your Land Rover Retailer for charge times in your area.
A full charge can be achieved in as little as 2.75 hours* using the accessory Multi-function Charging Cable (Mode 2 Universal Charging Cable) and a dedicated wall box. The interchangeable adapter allows you to use the cable abroad, through a regional specific two or three pin plug variant.
For when you’re on the move, the Public Charging Cable (Mode 3 Charging Cable) enables you to connect with AC charging stations. The cable is compatible with a home wall box, which an Land Rover approved supplier can install at your home.
