The Ford Ranger Raptor - Coming to Ireland in 2019
Ford Ireland have confirmed the arrival of the impressive Ford Ranger Raptor to Ireland, in early 2019. The Ranger Raptor is a high-performance big brother of the current Ranger. The Ranger as we know it, is a single or double cab pick up truck with a one tonne load weight capacity, common on Irish building sites.
The Ranger Raptor is modeled on the US version of the F-150 Raptor, while not as extreme, it will use a bi-turbo version of Ford's TCDI diesel engine, with 213hp and 500Nm of torque. Taking it's ten- speed gearbox from the Mustang, it will have highly modified suspension, including Fox shock absorbers, 46mm in diameter, 17-inch BF Goodrich tyres with huge, balloon sidewalls, and big disc brakes (up to 332mm) with twin-piston calipers.
Whether it's off road or on the building site, the Ranger Raptor is built for those who like power, performance and practicality. It can tackle any terrain, from the M50 to the Wicklow Mountains!
