New Transit Van

NEW TRANSIT VAN

Logistics never looked so good

Smarter, more useful and more connected technology. More powerful and efficient engines. A striking new design. And, most importantly, improvements to the carrying capacity. This is the New Ford Transit.

Brains and brawn

The exterior of the latest Ford Transit brings a fresh look to the iconic design. Whilst inside, the intelligently crafted cabin features a new Instrument Panel and puts a series of advanced technologies at your fingertips.

Exceptional Load space and access

The New Transit provides impressive load space in all three dimensions: load length, width (from wheel arch to wheel arch) and usable interior height. With 15.1 cubic metres of load space, you can fit cargo over 3 metres long. And with a carrying capacity of up to 2.1 tonnes, you’ll never be short of space or ability to transport almost anything. Wide side load doors, optimised opening height and a rear access step all ensure effortless access to your cargo too.

Helping you to work smarter

The New Transit is packed with advanced technology. All made to help you work smarter and more efficiently. These include the Blind Spot Information System and Cross Traffic Alert, both designed to alert you to other road users when changing lanes or reversing. Active Park Assist makes parking your van easier. And the new Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control helps to make long drives on the motorway less tiring and more economical. There’s even a new high level rear-view camera with Downlighter and front wide-view camera, so you can always see what’s around your van. It’s technology so useful, you’ll wonder how you did without it.

Advanced new engine technology

Featuring a range of advanced 2.0-litre Ford EcoBlue diesel engines, the New Transit is more powerful and more efficient than ever. With four powertrains available, offering up to 185 PS of horsepower, you’re guaranteed to find the one that meets your specific needs. The New Transit is also available with an HDT (Heavy Duty Truck) engine for customers who need a bit more power. The engine can produce even more torque, making it ideal for heavier conversions.

A system that can help prevent collisions and protect pedestrians

Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection uses radar and camera technology to scan the road ahead. If a collision risk with a vehicle, pedestrian or cyclist is detected, it’ll then provide you with a warning. If you don’t respond in time, the system can automatically apply up to full braking force to help reduce the severity of, or even eliminate, some frontal collisions.

Improved visibility

Mounted on the rear of the roof is a powerful, new LED Downlighter. This enables you to continue working long after the sun has gone down. And the smart system will automatically turn the light off if the battery gets low, making sure you can get home at the end of a long day.

A brighter-lit cargo area for easier loading

Load space lamps are fitted as standard. You can also specify the option of ultra-bright LED lighting if required.

Lock open your doors at 270 degrees

To make loading and unloading easier than ever, the rear doors can be locked open at 270 degrees. High visibility decals on the doors’ inner edges reflect light, warning other road users of the vehicles presence. And even closing the doors is now easier because improved air extraction vents relieve air pressure build-up in the cargo area.

Sockets, inputs and ports: all close to hand

The New Transit comes with a range of power outlets to help make sure all your devices are charged and ready to go when you are. There are multiple 12V power sockets and conveniently placed USB ports. And you can even have a 240V socket fitted, supplying 150 Watts of power.

Easy to step-up and into your van

A wide, high-grip step is integrated into the rear bumper making it easier to step into the cargo area and more convenient when loading by-hand.

Useful stowage everywhere

The new Transit is full of handy stowage spaces. For example, there’s easy access stowage in the instrument panel. A concealed, lockable glove-box is big enough to hold A4 hanging files, and there’s also convenient under-seat stowage for valuables. Even the vehicle’s doors are designed to maximise space with large pockets that can accommodate an A4 clipboard and a 2-litre drink bottle.

Peace of mind with an anti-perforation warranty

The New Transit is backed up by a reassuringly long, 12-year anti-perforation warranty.

A hands-free side load door for effortless opening and closing

This ingenious system helps to make loading the New Transit more efficient. Simply pull the door handle or press a button on the key fob, and it will automatically open or close. You can also operate the side load door by pressing a button on the dashboard.

Stress-free parking and easier reversing

Active Park Assist in the New Transit is able to effortlessly steer you into parking spots. Available in models with an automatic transmission, this smart technology makes parking easier than ever. After activation, you simply select a side of the road. When the system finds a suitable space, it will automatically steer you in, while all you do is operate the accelerator, gears and brake. The new rear-view camera has been mounted at the top of the New Transit to give a better view of whatever’s behind you. A screen built into the centre console reveals objects you might miss, and the system displays virtual lines to help you park in the smallest of spaces. The camera activates automatically when you select reverse gear.Text here ...

Power-assisted steering that responds to every situation

Electric power-assisted steering automatically adjusts to your speed and the conditions. At low speeds, the system makes wheel turns feel lighter and easier, improving manoeuvrability. At high speeds, when you need greater control, it firms up the steering.

Technology that sees what you can’t

The Blind Spot Information System uses radar sensors to see vehicles that may be hidden in your blind spot. They’re situated on either side of your New Transit and alert you with an orange light, clearly displayed in the side door mirror.

An advanced system to help you stay in your lane

The Lane Keeping System uses a forward-looking camera to detect if you’re unintentionally drifting out of lane. Lane Keeping Aid provides gentle steering torque assistance to help guide you back into your lane. If your wheel touches the line or edge of the road, Lane Keeping Alert vibrates the steering wheel and displays a visual warning. The technology automatically deactivates at speeds below 43 mph (64 kph), or can be turned off manually.

Spots the vehicles you might miss

Cross Traffic Alert is part of the new Blind Spot Information System. When you’re reversing out of a space and have limited visibility of the traffic situation, Cross Traffic Alert can detect oncoming vehicles and sound a warning. The technology illuminates a light in the wing mirror too (left or right depending on the direction of oncoming traffic), as well as displaying a warning on the multi-functional display.

New LED daytime running lights for style and visibility

Highly energy efficient, these advanced daytime running lights provide a signature look that really sets new Transit apart: they’ll help get you noticed during the day and seen clearly at night.
