Due to on-going growth within the group, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Controller to join our team at Joe Duffy Group in Airside, Swords working with Volvo and KIA.

Role Overview:

• You will be responsible for assisting in the control of service and repair work carried out in the workshop to maximise service sales and profitability.
• You will also oversee our Team of Technicians and support the front of house Teams within the service department to deliver an outstanding Aftersales experience to our customers. 
• You will maximise profitability by driving workshop hours and be responsible for workshop loading, utilisation, efficiency productivity and our Technicians clocked time on each job. The quality of work delivered is of paramount importance and you will be responsible for ensuring that there is a first time resolution for every repair. 
• You will be an integral member of the Service Team and deliver an outstanding level of customer service with a clear vision to run an efficient and professional workshop.
• This is a full time role which will include occasional half days on Saturdays to ensure we provide our customers with the highest possible levels of service. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Controlling the workshop through efficient operation of the work loading system
• Selling value added and incremental products through effective communication with customers, technicians and team members
• Demonstrating Due Diligence, accuracy and professionalism at all times
• Control the work loading system, record and process information on work carried out to customer vehicles 

Candidate requirements:

• We are seeking a technically knowledgeable individual with an uncompromised understanding of the running of a very busy workshop and as such, previous experience in a similar or technical role is essential. 
• You will need to be skilled in all aspects of running a team within a high volume prestige workshop. You must possess excellent communication skills and deliver results with enthusiasm and passion. 
• Qualified Technician/Mechanic with certificates would be extremely desirable
• Fluent in the English language, demonstrating high numeracy and literacy skills
• Demonstrate effective persuasion skills and high levels of managerial ability
• Previous motor industry and after sales experience required
• Demonstrate a high level of mechanical knowledge 
• Knowledge of Kerridge system is desirable but not essential
• A full, clean EU driving licence is an essential requirement
