The All-New BMW 4 Series Coupe.
The new BMW 4 Series Coupé, which celebrated its digital world premiere on 2nd June 2020, is a truly exceptional car that redefines the essence of driving pleasure in the premium midsized segment.
It delivers both stunning performance and supreme handling capabilities, but also gets a sleek and distinctive new exterior design, high quality interior, upgraded driver assistance technologies and even greater efficiencies from the introduction of the mild hybrid technology.
The exterior is 128mm longer than its predecessor and 27mm wider and its wheelbase has grown by 41mm to 2,851mm.
An important element of the striking front is the BMW trademark kidney grille, it repeats a design feature from the company’s past but adds a modern twist. It is outlined by surfaces with a 3D structure and, like the contours of the headlights, the bonnet’s arrow-shaped lines zero in on the grille. At the outer edges of the front apron, the intakes for the Air Curtains highlight the width of the car.
The sides are shaped by carved surfaces with a thin window graphic and an extended roofline flowing into the end. The design includes reduced surfacing above the front wheel arches and at the rear, large and distinct surfaces underline the new width. The rear also includes slim and stylishly darkened full-LED rear lights and dual-branch tailpipes.
LED headlights are fitted as standard, with a two U-shaped fibre-optic light that guides in the lower section as the daytime lights and Adaptive LED Headlights with BMW Laserlight, including BMW Selective Beam non-dazzling high beam assistant are optional.
The interior has high-quality materials and a driver-focused layout that defines performance and gives a premium feel.
The structure of the panel is based around horizontal lines, with its width highlighted by the contours and strips extending into the door areas. The outer edges of the centre console have knee pads to accommodate for a sporty driving style.
Vernasca leather trim comes in a choice of five colours and includes special decorative quilting and seam patterns. The Extended BMW Individual Merino leather trim and BMW Individual full leather trim are also available for M Sport Pro Edition models, as well as BMW M440i xDrive Coupé and BMW M440d xDrive Coupé. LED ambient lighting is standard across the range.
The new BMW 4 Series Coupé will launch in October 2020.
