Designer Walter de Silva has given the new Audi A5 a focused fresh, sharper makeover. Here we look at some of the great features the all new Audi A5 Coupé and Sportback have to offer. The Audi A5 Coupé is a two-door, hot heal vehicle that boasts a new sheer, sleek and eminent design. For drivers who like an energetic, sporty look combined with a phenomenal and economical driving experience, this car is a perfect fit.
The Audi A5 Sportback is a swift and commodious four-door vehicle, perfect for those who have families, but who also enjoy an energetic, smooth and seamless performing car.
Not only do the new Audi A5 Coupé and Sportback have more prominent wheel arches, they also have new Xenon headlights with LED daytime-running lights, giving them an urbane, modern look. This headlight design means you have a much wider visual range. There is also the option to upgrade to Matrix LED headlights that dip automatically when oncoming traffic is detected, again improving your visional spectrum. The back taillights are also thinner in design compared to its predecessor A4 model. The bumpers in the front have larger and sharper-looking vents.
There are more muscular and robust creases that run along the bonnets and into the remodeled headlights. The overall vehicle designs for both the A5 Coupé and Sportback are well-developed and statuesque, and have a wide and proportioned stance. The B-cycle engine is the first time to be incorporated in the Audi A5 model range. This engine allows for high compression ratios and its valve system modifies its intake of air, depending on the car’s load or the urgency of speed applied. Although the A5 prides in impressive engine prowess, the car fuel economy matches the one-liter A3 Sedan, a much smaller car.
The view from behind the wheel is spectacular. The larger cabin allows for more front shoulder and head room. Conveniently, the passenger seats can be controlled by a one-touch button or at the driver’s fingertips. Standard features include luxurious twin-leather upholstery, heated front seats, 7” colour driver’s information system and Audi Sound System. 17” '15-spoke’ design alloy wheels.
The new A5 is packed with new, innovative technology. In fact, the technology is specifically designed to improve your driving experience and to put your safety first. New features include:
Despite having more equipment and a longer wheelbase, the 2017 A5 model has easy, balanced steering. Although the car size has increased, it does not conciliate its weight, but is in fact 60kg lighter than its predecessor. Even better, the vehicle’s engine prowess does not compromise the fuel economy. Larger, lighter, and more economical, it will be difficult to pick between the Coupé or the Sportback.
