The Ford Kuga is full of smart technology to make driving easier and more pleasurable, whether in town or off-road. There’s also a range of innovative features designed purely for your comfort and convenience. As well as a more spacious, luxurious cabin, you’ll find plenty of practical and flexible stowage space too. Find out more below.
The Ford Kuga’s intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system instantly reacts and adjusts to changing terrain. It sends precisely the right amount of power to the individual wheels that need the most grip. As the system is ‘on demand’, it only activates when it’s needed, which saves fuel when the road is less challenging.
If you want to see how your wheels are performing throughout your journey, the AWD information screen continually displays, on a bar graph, how much power is being sent to each wheel.
Next generation Ford SYNC 2 lets you wirelessly connect your mobile and MP3 player. You can control your music, phone, navigation system, and climate control using simple, intuitive voice commands or via the 8” colour touchscreen.

The Ford Kuga is available with the 1.6 EcoBoost engine, with 150HP, 6-Speed Manual and 182HP with 6-Speed Auto. Both engines deliver plenty of power even in difficult off-road conditions. You’ll use less fuel too, thanks to Ford’s ECOnetic technologies.
Both diesel engines deliver plenty of power. There’s a 2.0-litre TDCi diesel (150 PS) Duratorq engine with 6-speed manual transmission, which provides high levels of power at low revs 370 Nm at 2,000 rpm.
The Ford Kuga’s optional panorama roof lets natural light flood in and can be opened, to give your passengers a great view of the sky and scenery outside. The roof’s solar-reflective coating should stop you getting too hot but, if necessary, you can use the integral power blind to keep out virtually all the sun’s rays.
Your passenger likes it cosy, but you prefer it cooler. The solution? Dual-zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (DEATC). This option lets you set the temperature with up to 4°C difference between your zone and your front passenger’s.
